These reading fluency checklists and photo box fluency toolkits work well in fluency centers, during independent reading, and in small groups. By creating and using these fluency toolkits and checklists, students will develop their fluent reading skills. Students will be able to focus on fluency on a daily basis, in different settings. By referring to the toolkit and fluency checklists, students will have the chance to improve all areas of fluency, including comprehension. Students can build their confidence as readers with these fluency toolkits and checklists.

Students can grab a laminated fluency checklist, either in full page format, or in the photo box toolkit, read through the aspects of fluency before they read. Then, they can use a dry erase marker to identify which aspect of fluency they worked on while reading.
