With over two decades in education, Melanie understands both how children learn and the very real weight teachers carry each day. After years in the classroom, she recognized something powerful: teachers don’t just need curriculum. They don’t just need décor. They need support that feels thoughtful, intentional, and truly doable.

Through Schoolgirl Style, she designs classroom collections that bring warmth, structure, and joy into learning spaces - not as fluff, but as foundation. Her philosophy is simple: environment teaches before the lesson even begins.

She also founded Playground Press, a research-based curriculum line focused on building strong foundational skills in early literacy and core subjects. Because for Melanie, supporting teachers means helping them create spaces that feel inspiring and instruction that actually works.
