Morning Bins provide a hands-on option to morning work and can turn those busy, hectic mornings into meaningful and independent practice! Morning Bins are the perfect way to wake up those little minds. They can also be used for extra practice or early finishers!

⭐Skills included in the Morning Bins:⭐
- Rhyming and Syllables- Draw a line to match rhyming words
- Sounds- Roll die and move marker to to say beginning sound of word
- Letters- Use manipulatives to cover matching letters
- Sequence- Pick a burger card and put ingredients in same order
- Letter Printing- Trace the line on the mat
- Sort by Concept- Decide if item is living or not
- Finding Details- Observe both pictures and identify differences
- EDITABLE Name Craft- Write letters on names on each letter and glue to turkey
- Patterns- Use snap cubes to recreate the pattern to match
- Counting Sequence- Put strips in order to create a picture
- Making and Counting Groups- Build a tower to match each number on mat
- Shapes- Use play dough to build shape on mat
- Measurement- Build a tower that is shorter than the one on the mat
- Colors- Sort a variety of colorful manipulatives to correct color mats
- Numerals- Cover each number by code
- Comparing- Count out pom-poms to same number of gumballs
- Life Skills- Decide which room the item belongs in
- Social/Emotional- Roll die, name the emotion and tell about a time when they or someone they know felt the emotion
- Fine Motor- Practice cutting along the lines
- Dramatic Play- Students pretend they are baking and selling pies
⭐ Materials Needed⭐
Will I need a lot of extra materials for the Morning Bins? No! I have tried to create the morning bins with resources and manipulatives that you are already have in your classroom. You can easily swap out my suggested manipulatives for some that you already own. Even the monthly Dramatic Play Sets will include all that you need to get started!
⭐ Black and White Version⭐
I included a Black and White Version that you can use to print on color paper. However, there are some color games and activities that works best printed in color.
