Students are introduced to three types of nonfiction writing: historical, scientific, and steps in technical proceduresThrough a variety of nonfiction texts, students will analyze how and why individuals, events, and ideas develop and interact over the course of a text. 

Through a variety of nonfiction articles and 14 pages of fun and engaging activities, students will learn how to explain events, ideas, and procedures from informational text. Each reading passage includes a high-interest, curriculum-based topic that students will love to read and learn about - perfect for students in 4th and 5th grades.
