Sandcastle Letter Dig & Match
Includes: capital letter mat, lowercase letter mat
To play: Bury letters in sand (capital or lowercase). Students dig out letters and match them on the sandcastle. Capital and lowercase included.
Sandcastle Letter Trace
Includes: capital letter shell cards, lowercase shell cards, capital letter tracing mat, lowercase letter tracing mat.
To play: Students choose a letter, identify it, and trace it on the sandcastle. Choose from capital or lowercase.
Digging up Beginning Sounds
Includes: 26 beginning sound task cards, capital letter buckets, lowercase letter buckets
To play: Students choose a card and find the bucket that matches with the beginning sound. Use in a sensory bin or as task cards.
Diving for Syllables
Includes: 24 syllable cards, Syllable mat (students count out using shells), Syllable mat (students trace number of syllables in each word)
Option 1: choose a card, place it on the mat, and count out/show the number of syllables using shells/pom-poms/buttons/etc. Option 2: Students choose a card, place it on the mat, clap out the syllables, and trace the number on the mat. 24 syllables included.
Fishing for Rhymes
Includes: 12 multicolored fish with 2 mats (6 fish/mat). This would be for students still mastering rhyming words as they can use the colors to help them.
12 red fish with 2 mats (6 fish/mat) are also included for a higher level of difficulty.
To Play: Students catch a fish and find the fish that rhymes on the mat. ***There are several ways to differentiate this activity for your little learners. Choose from using 1 mat or 2 mats and using multicolored fish or fish that are all the same color.
Shark Teeth Count & Cover
-Choose which option works best for your learners…1-10, 11-20, or 1-20.
To Play: Have students choose a card, count the teeth, and cover that number on the shark. Use a fun manipulative like fish crackers or fish candy!

Option 1: Write the Room
Hang cards around the classroom. Students find a card, count the teeth, and trace the number on the recording sheet.
Option 2: Sensory Bin

Crab Crawl Measuring
Students choose a card and use one inch blocks (or manipulative of your choice) to measure how far the crab crawled. 8 Cards and an optional recording sheet included.
Whale - Build a Spout
Students choose a whale card, identify the number, and build the spout as high as the number.
Option 1: Use blocks, buttons, pom-poms, etc. to build the spout.
Option 2: For extra fine motor practice punch holes in the cards and have students use links to build the spout.
Fish Bubble Patterns
Students create fish bubble patterns using pom-poms, buttons, glass beads, play dough, etc.
Jellyfish Shape Hunt
Includes 12 shapes and two recording sheets.
Option 1: Write the Room
Hang jellyfish shape cards around the classroom. Students hunt for jellyfish and trace the shapes on the recording sheet.
Option 2: Sensory Bin
Students hunt for jellyfish and trace the shapes on the recording sheet.
