*This packet is targeted for 2nd grade, but can be used for high flying first graders and struggling 3rd graders.

This packet includes the following resources:
*2nd Grad Sight Words I: Box up the following words to complete a sentence: always, around, because, been, before, best, both, buy, call, cold, does, don't, fast, first, and found.
*2nd Grad Sight Words II: Box up the following words to complete a sentence: gave, goes, green, its, made, many, off, of, pull, read, right, sing, sit, sleep, and tell.
*2nd Grad Sight Words III: Box up the following words to complete a sentence: these, those, upon, us, use, very, wash, which, why, wish, work, would, write, your and their.
*Adjectives that Describe Nouns- Look at the pictures (nouns) and write an adjective to describe the nouns.
*Find the Grammar I- Find the hidden nouns, adjectives, verbs and pronouns in the picture. Record them in the correct columns.
*Find the Grammar II- Find the hidden verbs and adverbs. Record them in the correct columns.
*Sequence of Events. Use the familiar rhyme of Humpty Dumpty to number the events in order and write what happened using transitional words.
*Sequence of Events. Use the familiar rhyme of Jack and Jill to number the events in order and write what happened using transitional words.
*Sequence of Events (Blank Version) Can be used to illustrate and write a story.
*Making New Words with Presidents - Cut out the letter tiles at the bottom of the page. See how many words you can make with PRESIDENTS.
*Author's Purpose- Read the titles on the books and use the color code to color the books. (To Persuade, To Inform, To Entertain)
*Multiple Meaning Words (Verbs and Nouns)- Look at the pictures. Each word has two meanings. One is a verb and one is a noun. Write a sentence for each.
*Shades of Meaning- Write the two shades of meaning for each word.
*ABC Order to the 2nd Letter- Put each list in ABC order.
*Dictionary Skills- Look up eat word. Write the page number, the guide words and the part of speech.
*Dictionary Skill - Guide Words- Cut and paste the correct gum ball under each set of guide words.
*Silent Letters- Read each word on the envelope and write the letter or letters that are silent.
*Plural or Possessive? Use the plural or possessive form of each noun.
*Context Clues- Read the sentence and use the context clues to help you figure out the underlined word.
*Compare and Contract with a Venn Diagram- Read the short story. Compare and Contact the two characters.
*Cause and Effect- Look at the pictures. Write a possible cause and effect for each.
*Making Inferences- Use the sentence and picture clues to help you make an inference.
*Abbreviations- Write the correct abbreviation next to each word.
*Supporting Details I - Read the topic sentence. Use the picture to help you write supporting details that relate to the topic sentence.
*Supporting Details II - Read the topic sentence. Use the picture to help you write supporting details that relate to the topic sentence.
*Sentence Editing- Rewrite the sentences correctly.
*Telling Time to the 5 Minutes- Draw hands on the clock to show the correct time.
*2 Digit Addition with Regrouping- Solve the addition problems and use the code to answer the riddle.
*Addition 1 Digit Plus 2 Digits (Mental Math)- Solve the math problems mental and decide if they are even or odd.
*Place Value Equivalencies- Solve the problems to show equivalencies.
*2 Digit Subtraction with Regrouping- Solve the math problems. The the pair of candies with the same differences the same color.
*2 Digit Addition with Regrouping- Solve the math problems. Color the pair of candy wrappers the same sum the same color.
*Addition and Subtraction- Solve the problems on the cupcakes. Color a cherry that matches the sum or difference. Circle if it is even or odd.
*Multi-Step Word Problems- Read the word problems and answer the questions.
*Measuring in Centimeters- Use a centimeter ruler to measure the distance of each kid to the box of chocolates. Write the answer.
*Measuring in Inches - Use a ruler to measure the distance of the path each astronaut took to get back to the spaceship. Record your answers.
*Measuring: Meters or Centimeters- Decide which measurement you would use for each item.
*Graphing on a Grid- Read the directions. Draw each picture where it belongs on the grid.
*Creating a Graph- Make your own bar graph by recording information and answering questions.
*Adding to 1,000- Color the hearts that add up to 1,000 using the color code.
*Money: Name the Coins- Read the money clues and draw the coins needed for each set.
*Money: Do I Have Enough? Look at the prices on each of the items. Answer the questions below and see if each person has enough money.
*Money: Adding and Subtracting in the Hundreds - Look at the prices on the items and answer the questions.
*Picture Graphs - Read the clues. Cut and paste the chocolates to complete each graph.
*Fractions- Write the fraction that shows what part of each set is shaded. Use the last for boxes to shade in your own set and write a fraction.
