What are Morning Tubs / Bins?
Morning Bins provide a hands-on option to morning work and can turn those busy, hectic mornings into meaningful and independent practice! Morning Bins are the perfect way to wake up those little minds. They can also be used for extra practice or early finishers!
No grading, no pressure, just fun and engaging practice!

Each monthly theme will include 21 skills. The monthly skills stay the same throughout the months, but the activities change to provide students with more challenging activities. For the January Morning Bins there are:

⭐Skills included in the Morning Bins:⭐
- Vocabulary- Build a vocabulary word with magnetic letters then match the picture to the word
- Sounds- Say word, listen for digraph and sort it onto correct mat
- Segment and Blend- Say word and find matching digraph
- Sight Words- Read sight word and find mitten with matching one
- Sequence- Read words and sort into alphabetical order
- Sentences- Spin spinner and write sentence that uses word and ending punctuation
- Grammar- Read sentence and decide if verb is past, present or future tense
- Writing- Pick problem card and draw solution to card
- Rhymes, Syllables and Compound Words- Spin spinner and cover word that rhymes
- Text- Look through non-fiction book to find text features then record page numbers with features
- Count Sequence- Arrange puzzle pieces to put number 1-120 in order
- Comparing Numbers and Making Groups- Flip cards, compare numbers and the greatest number wins
- Representing Numbers- Flip number word card and cover number on mat
- Base 10- Spin spinner once for tens and once for ones then build number using base ten cubes
- Fluency- Roll two dice, add numbers and graph sum on bar graph
- Addition and Subtraction- Spin spinner and use number to make two addition and subtraction equations
- Measurement and Data- Use snap cubes to measure items
- Geometry- Use geoboard and rubber bands to create picture on board then count number on rubber bands used
- Time and Money- Choose a card and count out coins to make amount shown
- Patterns and Fractions- Count to 120 and write missing numbers
- Social/Emotional: Regulating Myself and Relating to Others- Choose a person they know and write a letter to them
